Today is my Mother's birthday.
I tend to get a bit more emotional due to the fact im not there and can here all the family having fun in the background, its a big price we pay for living overseas. However skype plays a big part in ensuring i dont miss out on all the family functions as i got to see everyone on Christmas Day, even though i cried like a big baby. Being the only girl, im very close to my mum and love her to bits :)
Back to work today, still sick and would much rather stay in bed and no nothing like i have been the whole weekend. Im hoping to come home to a home cooked meal from Hubby as he is off work today, but we will wait and see with that one.
Our working days in Abu Dhabi are Sunday - Thursday. Bit different to the rest of the world, which on some occasions is a bit confusing. However when I first moved to the UAE five years ago the weekdays were Saturday - Wednesday with Thursday/Friday off. But magically that all changed the weekend I arrived here, I think they heard I was coming and didnt want to confuse me.
Anyways off to work
